Terms of Service
Last updated 3 November 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Jamiu Oyero, a sole trader trading as RivalPulse ("RivalPulse", "we", "us"), based in England, UK. By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
RivalPulse checks the public product catalogues of online stores you choose and emails you when prices, products or stock change. We only read information the stores publish openly, we follow each store's robots.txt rules, and our bot identifies itself as described on our bot page.
2. Who can use it
RivalPulse is a business service. You must be 18 or over and use it for your trade or business. If you sign up on behalf of a company, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
3. Your account
Keep your password safe and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for activity on it.
4. Plans, trials and payment
- Free plan: tracks one store with a weekly email. We may change what the free plan includes, with notice.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, in the currency shown at checkout. Prices are shown on our website and include VAT where applicable.
- Free trial: paid plans start with a 7-day free trial. A card is needed to start it. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and your card is charged.
- Discount codes apply only as described when issued and can't be exchanged for cash.
- If a payment fails, we'll try again and may move your account to the free plan if it isn't resolved.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' email notice. Changes apply from your next billing date after the notice period.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel any time from Plan & billing. Your paid plan continues until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account moves to the free plan. We don't give refunds for partial months, except where the law requires it or we've made a mistake. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
6. Fair use
Please only use RivalPulse to monitor publicly available store information for normal competitive research. You must not:
- use it to overload, attack or gain unauthorised access to any website;
- try to get around plan limits, our systems or another site's access rules;
- resell or share access to the service without our written agreement;
- use the data in a way that breaks the law.
We may stop tracking any store, for example if its owner asks us to, if it blocks our bot, or if tracking it causes problems.
7. Accuracy of information
We work hard to be accurate, but data comes from other people's websites. It may be incomplete, delayed or wrong, and some stores can't be tracked. Please check important details on the store itself before acting on them. Prices are shown in each store's own currency.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep RivalPulse running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may improve or change features over time. If we make a change that significantly reduces a paid feature, we'll give you notice and you can cancel.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, sales or business opportunity, including decisions you make based on the data. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using RivalPulse at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we'll refund any unused prepaid period.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If changes are important, we'll email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use RivalPulse after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
